Don't mind the missing corner. I forgot to take a before picture. This is another extra that we had. |
I then went to the scrapbook paper stash and found a hot pink piece of paper. I cut out a heart shape and then hot glued it onto the tile. This was my guide to make sure it stayed in a heart shape. My heart I cut out wasn't perfect. It gets hidden by the ribbon though so you can't see it.
I bought the ribbon at the dollar store and Joann's. I took 4 different kinds and cut them into 4.5 inch pieces. I hot glued the tips together. The next step is to start laying and gluing them onto the heart on the tile. When I needed gaps filled I cut more. I ended up with 50 strips
The last thing I did was took my cricut and cut out XOXO. I didn't have any red stickers in my scrapbook stash but that would've worked just as well. I LOVE how it turned out!! I've since seen topiarys that are along the same concept. They would be adorable too. This was a really cheap little craft.
