I have loved HOH for a long time. She was one of the first blogs I started following. Allison is the Queen Bee of DIY. Seriously if I knew how to handle power tools the way she does my hubby wouldn't know what to think. Not to mention her blog is hilarious! That girl knows how to write like she's talking to her girlfriends. I thought I would leave you all with some of my favorite HOH projects!

My First Award & One Long Post

April over at Wildflowers and Whimsy gave me a blog award back at the beginning of the month. When I started my blog last month I had no idea what I was doing. I Heart Nap Time gave some blogging advice and one thing she said was to link up to parties. I linked up my little scrabble frame and April left me my first comment and invited me to link up to her party. She seriously made my day!! She has a really great blog and is going to be doing a 14 day Spring Fling giveaway party starting March 20th. If you haven't already you need to check out Wildflowers and Whimsy. She is an amazing sewer and has such great ideas and tutorials!! Here are some of my favorite things she has done:



She was a contestant on Project Toddler Runway and made this ADORABLE dress. I love love the fur!!



She made this before she was a blogger. I think this would be a darling reading corner in a kids room!

I LOVE this dress!! I have a soft spot for red and ruffles. I think I need a shirt like that.

Are those not the cutest Tink shoes ever!! She made them. I told you she is talented!!

Here are some things about me:

1. I can't have dishes in the left side of my sink. That is the side that our garbage disposal is on. If I see dishes put in there I get hives and go batty. I'm okay with the right side being filled but not the left.

2. My favorite food is ice cream. I love Ben and Jerry's phish food if I go store bought. My most favorite though is a local ice cream shoppe in Utah called Leatherby's. Oh my the are delicious!! When we go it's a must to also get french fries and fry sauce.

3. My DVR is always overflowing. The shows I love to watch and record are: Modern Family, The Office, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Jerseylicious (don't judge lol), The Bachelor, Paula Deen, Oprah, Celebrity Apprentice, Deadliest Catch, Anything with the Kardashians, SYTYCD, Survivor, Cupcake Wars, Food Network Challenges,  Hoarders (even though I feel like I need to clean right after and sometimes want to throw up), and my new #1 favorite thanks to my cousin is Glee. Now you see why my DVR is overflowing! I record too many shows and I never have time to watch them.

4. I'm a big lover of peanut butter but I don't like plain peanut butter cookies. There has to be some sort of chip in it. Old Macs favorite cookie is peanut butter with white chocolate chips. Super yummy!

5. I'm a Twilight junkie. My heart belongs to my hubby but my neck belongs to Edward. I've read the books numerous times. I think, like with most great books, the movies never do it justice. Me and my girlfriends do a big GNO though when the movies are released and it still is tons of fun.

6. Even as an adult I still think Disneyland is magical. We took our first family vacation there last year and I've been ready to go back ever since!

7. Last but certainly not least I'm super baby hungry. It seems like everywhere I go all I see is pregnant ladies and new babies. Every week someone new announces on facebook how they are expecting. One of these months that is going to be me.

Hello New Friends!!

Welcome to everyone stopping by Sassy Sites "hello friend" link party!! I started my little blog in January of this year. My blog hasn't been running for long but it's only just beginning! Thank you Marni for doing a link party like this!! What a great way to get know other newbie bloggers like me.

To give you a little bit about me, I started my blog after I was given a calling for my church. I am the craft coordinator for our Enrichment Nights. I was super excited but also nervous. I've never considered myself to be super crafty or creative. I decided that if I was going to step out of my comfort zone I might as well go full force and start a craft blog. I also wanted to be able to keep all my projects separate from my family blog.

One thing you'll notice is (and I may be too paranoid) I don't want my kids names and faces all over. Anytime I refer to them or the hubby I have little codes. To catch you up the hubster is Old Mac. We have a little girl who I call MnM. Our youngest wild monkey is SMac.

I'm super lucky to be a SAHM to our two kiddos. We like to stay busy. We are a big time Jazz loving fam, hence the above picture with Old Mac and my boyfriend. We don't have any pets yet. I say yet because the kids are crossing their fingers the Easter bunny drops some goldfish off in their Easter baskets. I love fountain cherry cokes, peanut butter M&M's, and ice cream. If there was a diet that involved eating those things (without subtracting points) I would be on it. LOL. I REALLY REALLY wish we owned a mini van. I know you can call me lame the hubby does every time I stare at one.

Spring Fling at Wildflowers and Whimsy

I don't know about you but I am ready for spring. I'm tired of the cold and snow. Wildflowers and Whimsy is going to be doing an AWESOME Spring Fling. She is doing 14 days of giveaways!! It will be starting on March 20 and will go until April 2! What a great way to kick off spring. I'm super excited because I will be participating and doing a giveaway!! In the next few weeks April will be doing sneak peaks over at her blog so you can see all the fabulous giveaways. I will remind everyone when it gets closer but mark your calendars this is going to be fun!!

Hooo Are You???

Since I don't have any crafty things to link up this week I decided to participate over at Night Owl Crafting in her HOOO Are You link party. She has super fun questions that she asks each week so you can get to know other bloggers.

Here are the questions this week

1. Where do you usually have your thermostat set at in the winter?

2. What room do you tend to put off cleaning until last?

3. Do you like to clean with music on or off?

4. When do you take time to blog?

5. How much time do you spend looking at other blogs a week?

Here are my answers

1. During the day I have the thermostat at 72-73. I can't sleep when it's super hot so at night it goes to about 70. The house has to be on the comfortable/cool side for me to sleep good. I know I'm a weirdo:)

2. I agree with Leslie on this. My poor room gets neglected. My laundry is always the last to be washed and put away. Even decorating gets forgotten about in there because I'm focusing on the rest of the house. I also agree with Leslie if we have people coming over and need to move clutter it ends up in our room.

3. I need some sort of background noise when I clean. If not music at least a TV. One of my favorite additions (that I didn't want) was a TV in our kitchen. I LOVE having one in there when I'm cleaning. If I have on music it has to be something fun like 80's. 80's music makes me happy.

4. I like to blog in the morning after MnM goes to school. If I have a crazy morning it's usually at nap time or just before bedtime.

5. I spend WAY more time then I probably should. I try not to be on the computer for more than 2 hours a day. It's easy to get lost in blog land especially on link party days. That means in one week 14 hours. Wow that makes it sound like a ton.



This was super fun!! I'm for sure going to be doing more of these!!

Someone Had Some Work Done

I need to give a BIG thanks to Kassie at Designs by Kassie. My little blog had a face lift done and I am sooo happy with how it turned out!! Two of my other favorite blogs (I Heart Nap Time and Night Owl Crafting) both had Kassie do their blog design and they turned out adorable. I decided that my blog wasn't very pleasing to look at before and was in need of some professional help. Kassie was super sweet to work with. I also couldn't believe how fast the process was. She does everything from little nip tucks to full on makeovers. If you are wanting a fun change to your blog I HIGHLY recommend going through Kassie. I promise you won't be disappointed!! Thanks again Kassie!!

What time is it??? Party time!!!
